ABSTRACT

Globalization as a new order of life globally is a necessity, which will sooner or
later influence the world nations. If this phenomenon is addressed in a way that is
not intelligent and uncritical, it will lead to and isolate a society with an extremely
powerful of hegemony and will have a negative impact on the nation. Globalization
is borderless of culture, education, work ethics and so on, it needs to be managed
wisely and concerned to the local culture. Education based on local cultural values
is a strategic effort to instill and uphold the nationality and state identity of
Indonesian younger generation. Thus the national education conducted by the
government will provide an adequate contribution to the formation of Indonesian
nation concerning to Indonesian culture, civilized humanity, also Indonesian
identity and dignity.
